1. Intro
When I first heard about this game, I thought it was going to suck.
It
looked crappy, and hard to control. One of my friends rented it, and
boy
was I wrong!!! The graphics were great, and the weapons rocked!!! It
was
kind of hard to control, but I liked it anyway.
2. The Story
Turok is searching for the pieces of the Chronoscepter, a machine that
can connect every place in the universe. If the Campaigner gets to
it
first, he could rule all time and space. The Campaigner finds out that
Turok is searching for the pieces, and sends all of his toughest troops
out to get Turok.
3. The Weapons
Knife- Your starting weapon. The only weapon that can be used underwater.
Arrows-One step better than the Knife, cuz you can shoot them at far
away
foes.
Tek Arrows- More powerful version of Arrows, cuz they explode on impact.
Assault Rifle- A good weapon. It is pretty powerful and very useful.
Shotgun- Another relatively strong weapon. It's useful in almost any
situation.
Explosive Shells- Better ammo for the Shotgun.
Mini Gun- Another good weapon. not very strong, but it fires rapidly.
Pulse Rifle- Strong against humans and smaller dinos, but misses easily.
Particle Accelerator- Turns enemies to stone, then blows them up.
Alien Weapon- Strong, but usually misses close-up enemies.
Grenade Launcher-A strong weapon. They don't explode right away, so
be
accurate.
Missile Gun- Another good weapon. My personal favorite.
Fusion Cannon- A very strong weapon. Easy to get a direct hit, too.
Chronoscepter- Little is known about this strange weapon. It is in
8
pieces, one piece is in each level.
4. The Enemies
Poachers-Easiest foe. Just hit them once with any weapon.
Commandos- They don't move around much, but they will shoot at you.
Use
the Shotgun to get rid of them.
Natives- They charge at you and smack you with their clubs. Use the
Knife
or your Arrows.
Beetle- A big bug. Use the Knife if it's close up or some Arrows if
it's
far away.
Big Mosquito- Use your knife!
Pur-Lin- A big dinosaur that sends out Shock Waves or throws fireballs.
Use your Tek Arrows.
Leapers- Wierd creatures that try to jump on you. Use your Shotgun.
Raptor- They charge at you and try to rip you apart. Use the Assault
Rifle. Sometimes, they have arm cannons.
Ancient Warriors- They look like Skeletons, but they're not. Use your
Assault Rifle.
Demons- They look like humans with fire around them. Use your Explosive
Shells.
Dimetridon- A mean dino. It's pretty slow, so keep your distance and
use
Grenades.
It sometimes has guns on it's back.
Iguana- He is fast and mean. Stay above him and shoot Grenades.
Mosquito- Another big bug. He's really wimpy, just use your Knife.
Aliens- Fast, mean, and ugly. Take them on with the Alien Weapon.
Otherwise, run away from them.
Cyborgs- They're powerful, slow and have lots of armor. Use your Tek
Arrows.
Subterraneans- They pop out of the ground to attack. Keep your distance
and use your Explosive Shells.
Killer Plants- They shoot spiked stuff at you. Dodge it's shots and
use
your Explosive Shells.
Triceratops- Big, and hard to kill. Use your Rocket Launcher or your
Alien Weapon. Watch out for the rider with the Rocket Launcher.
Heavy Cyborg- Big, strong, and really slow. Try to sneak up on them
and
fire away with your Rocket Launcher. The orange ones have Rocket
Launchers, so watch out.
Staff Cyborg- Still another Cyborg. They try to corner you and whack
you
with their staff. Just blast them with a few shots from your Assault
Rifle.
Sludge Beast- Watch out for these guys in the sewers. Blast them with
a
few Grenades to get rid of them.
5. Items and Portals
Life Force Triangles
Gold: +1
Red: +10
Collect 100 of these to get an extra life.
Health Points
Silver: +2
Blue: +25
Red: +100
Gold: Full life
Portals: The ones that disappear, then reappear in a few seconds can
take
you to many different places. These warps react to conditions in the
game. Example: If you need more ammo, you might find it in the warp
area.
Other Items:
Spiritual Invincibility: Makes you very fast and invincible for a limited
time.
Tek Armor: Protects you for a few hits.
The other kind of portals warp you to the same place every time.
6. Beat the Bosses
Long Hunter: In his arena, jump into the moat and get some Tek Arrows,
then face him. Use Tek Arrows on his trucks and keep your back against
the wall. Stay out from the front of the trucks, cuz they'll either
ram
you or blast you with missiles. When you destroy the trucks, use your
Shotgun or Mini Gun against the Long Hunter.
Giant Mantis: He throws green glop at you while he breaks down the walls.
Duck into the doorway that he came out of to get some Tek Arrows. Keep
circling the mantis while shooting at it with your Explosive Shells.
When
he turns green, he starts breaking down walls. When he flashes purple,
he
gets really fast. When he flashes red he's just plain mean!
T-Rex: Good thing this is a big arena, cuz you need all the room you
can
get. When he leans forward to shoot his eye laser, Sidestep and blast
him
a few times with your Grenade Launcher or Explosive Shells. The bays
along the wall contain Power-Ups to help you out.
Stay out of his search laser!
Campaiger: The last boss, the big cheese, the ringleader. Keep moving
around the arena and pick up the Tek Arrows that you find here. He
blasts
into the sky, and comes back suddenly. When he comes back, back away
and
use the Chronoscepter. Sidestep his shots. If you run out of
Chronoscepter ammo, use your Explosive Shells. It will take about 6
hits
from the Chronoscepter to stop him.
7. Controls

C/\- Walk forward
C\/- Walk backwards

8. Hints and Tips
Save at Checkpoints whenever possible.
If you're having a hard time aiming, turn on the Map and use the cursor
as a guide.
Take out all giant bugs with the Knife to save ammo.
Shoot Deer and Boars and they'll drop Health Points. Use the Shotgun
to
get better results.
If a human is carrying a gun, blast them, but if they have a Club or
Axe,
use the Knife.
Try to run out of the way of enemy Grenades, then blast the bastard
who
threw it.
While on top of buildings, jump to other building tops to get Power-Ups.
Sidestep to avoid shots. Works 99% of the time for me.
Kill all the enemies around the Save Point, then Save. Otherwise, they'll
be waiting for you when you resume play.
Don't get too close to the walls, sometimes they have spikes or falling
rocks.
Try shooting a guy that is already dead with the Rocket Launcher or
Grenade Launcher.
Game Save points also work as Checkpoints, whether you have a Memory
Pack
or not.
